THUNDER BAY GIRLS SOFTBALL ASSOCIATION TOURNAMENT RULES 2010 |

1. Minor Teams - Will play 3 games each, in their respective
divisions, + SF + F.
Pee Wee Teams – Will play 3 games each, except
teams 1-2-3, which will play 4 games to make up the 3rd game for team 7. Note
these teams 1-2-3 scores do not count for point series or runs for or against.
(INDICATED WITH *). + SF + F.
Bantam Midget Senior Teams – Will play a 4 game
round robin format + SF +F.
All teams will be reseeded in order of tournament standings after their division
is finished playing during regular tournament play. . The top 4 teams in each
division will advance to the Semi-Finals Sunday as well as the Finals.
NOTE – All tournament games are 1 hr 45 min length, except the
Semi Finals & Finals.
2. ALL TEAMS MUST ARRIVE 30 MINUTES BEFORE THEIR SCHEDULE GAME TIME. During this time, teams are required to stretch, warm-up, and practice. Coaches must have their batting order and field positions ready prior to game time. (Sweater Number & Name must be on the batting order score sheet)
3. Home and Visitors will be decided by a coin toss, prior to each game. This will be conducted by the umpire doing your game.
4. Registered Players - Only registered players with the league will be allowed to play in this tournament. Any player who has not supplied the league with all necessary information, (payment etc.) Will not be eligible to play. If uncertain about any player on your team, call league registrar to check. There are a lot of items yet to be collected.
5. ALL IN HOUSE REGULAR SEASON RULES APPLY.
6. All games are as follows: Minor - 5 Innings, Pee Wee & Bantam-Midget-Senior Ladies will be 6 innings. Semi Finals and Championship games will be played out in full, with Minor – 6 Innings, Pee Wee, Bantam-Midget-Senior Ladies 7 Innings.
7. All umpire slips, must be signed by both coaches and umpires. These will be turned into the tournament office, after each game played ASAP. NOTE: ON WEDNESDAY, THURSDAY, FRIDAY NIGHTS ALL SCORES WILL BE CALLED INTO LORNE - 577-1670 BY THE HOME PLATE UMPIRE OF THAT GAME. The Umpires Slips will be the official record of the game played with the scores on it.
8 ALL UMPIRES DECISIONS ARE FINAL. If there are any problems or appeals, these must be reported to the tournament chairperson immediately.
9. CATCHERS - Coaches will have their team catcher ready to go at all times. This means suited and ready to go unto the field, unless catcher is on base. If catcher is on base, a substitute runner will be allowed to take her place. Please put the last player that was out on base as a pinch runner.
10. POINTS - Win - 3, Tie - 2, Loss - 1
11. The following procedure will determine the winners in each division. 1. Point System. 2. Runs For Minus Runs Against. 3. Tie-breaker game consisting of a minium of 3 innings only. If tied after 3 innings of play, then you will play a full complete inning after this until a winner is declared.
12. If you can not field a team, you loose by default. Score will be 7-0.
13. RAINED OUT GAMES - The tournament committee will determine if you play or not on that day of the rain out game. If cancelled each team will get a tie. Score 7-7.
